McHenry Finalist TBBJ Woman of the Year
Senior Connection Center is pleased and proud to announce that President and CEO, Charlotte McHenry was named a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s highly competitive Business Woman of the Year Award.
Every year, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reviews dozens of nominations for this prestigious award and then narrows down the list to a few in each category. On Friday, August 11, winners were announced at a gala event that celebrated the accomplishments of these successful Bay area businesswomen who provide their leadership in a wide variety of professional fields including nonprofit business and government, financial services, hospitality, legal services and technology, to name just a few. Ms. McHenry was a finalist in the nonprofit and government category.
This year’s winners in each category and one overall winner were announced at a ceremony that took place at the Windham Hotel in Clearwater Beach. The overall winner, Debra Hanses Novakoski, is president and CEO of HomeBanc. The winner in the nonprofit / government category is Tonjua Williams, president of St. Petersburg College.
“It is truly an honor to be among the finalists for this award,” said McHenry. “I especially appreciate the fact that the selection committee could see the tremendous value Senior Connection Center brings to our community; the impact we have on so many people’s lives. Leading any organization well takes hard work and commitment, but in my case, the rewards outweigh all the challenges.”
The entire team at Senior Connection Center wishes to extend our congratulations to all of the amazing and talented women who were recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal for their hard work and accomplishments, as well as their commitment to mentoring the next generation of women leaders in our community.
