Charlotte has been with the Senior Connection Center since 1994. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration from Florida Atlantic University, her Master of Public Health Degree from the University of South Florida and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa. In addition to working for the Senior Connection Center, Charlotte has also worked at Area Agencies on Aging in Illinois and Tennessee. She has held various positions at the Senior Connection Center and was instrumental in the development of our Aging and Disability Resource Center, as well as the development of a care transitions coalition focused on reducing hospital readmissions.
At the Senior Connection Center I work closely with our senior staff to ensure that all aspects of the organization are running smoothly. I also work with our Board of Directors, Advisory Council members, partners, businesses, organizations and individuals throughout our planning and service area to identify opportunities for growth and expansion, while keeping a strong focus on our mission to help older adults and persons with disabilities live with independence and dignity.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially my nieces, nephews and godchildren. I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and trying new restaurants.
Something you may not know about the SCC is we are part of a state and national network of Area Agencies on Aging focused on improving the quality of life for all older adults.
My philosophy of life is to strive for excellence, have the courage to make mistakes, be willing to learn from them and always be grateful for the lessons.
