Katie has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of South Florida. Katie has been working in the aging network since 2000. Prior to arriving at the Senior Connection Center in 2006, she worked for the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco / Pinellas for over six years and has significant experience helping to administer aging service programs, with an emphasis on Medicaid Waiver programs. Katie also serves on the USF Public Administration Program Advisory Committee.
At Senior Connection Center I work to ensure that the Aging and Disability Resource Center and our program services continue to be available and are of the highest quality in the state. In total there are almost 40 staff fulfilling roles in the various departments I oversee. These departments include: Contracts and Quality Assurance, the SHINE program, Long Term Care Services and the Elder Helpline.
When I’m not at work I am thankful that I can enjoy my time with family and friends. We especially love all that the Tampa Bay area has to offer, but our favorite pastime is visiting our beautiful beaches.
I enjoy working at Senior Connection Center because it provides me with the ability to give back to my community in many meaningful ways.
Something you may not know about SCC is we don’t just provide services for our seniors, we endeavor to ensure their support system stays intact and advocate for service enhancements on a daily basis.
My philosophy of life is work hard, enjoy life and leave the world a better place.
