TAMPA, FL – For the past 49 years, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has selected a team of community leaders to attend their leadership development program called Leadership Tampa. Senior Connection Center is proud to announce that President & CEO, Charlotte McHenry will be among the members of the Class of 2019. Leadership Tampa’s members participate in educational sessions, tours and candid conversations with community leaders over an intensive nine-month course.
MaryBeth Williams, senior director, leadership programs at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce recently told the Tampa Bay Business Journal, “Topics are far ranging and they are not static. They often change year-to-year based on trends identified in candidate application materials, and with the broader region.”
When asked what she expects from the program, McHenry replied, “I’m really looking forward to learning more about the many facets of the Tampa community, and to becoming more engaged and involved in making our community a better place. But I also hope to enlighten my classmates about the issues impacting older adults and the role our community can play in improving the lives of seniors and their caregivers.”
