For services to elderly clients in Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee and Polk counties for:
- Home Modifications (such as grab bars, widening doors, adding ramps, lowering cabinets, home repairs, etc.)
- Enhanced Chore (such as heavy yard work, deep cleaning homes and carpets, waste removal)
- Pest Control (initial spraying, monthly spraying, and/or tenting for severe infestations)
- Weatherization (including items such as door flashing, caulking, and repairing windows, energy audit, duct repairs, installation of smart thermostats, etc.)
- Appliances (including front loading washers and dryers, smart appliances, etc.)
- Senior Friendly Hardware Devices (electronic medication minders, ring doorbells and other smart home security devices, etc.)
DOLLAR AMOUNT OF CONTRACTS
Senior Connection Center, Inc. (SCC) does not know the range of contract amounts at the present time, but each eligible elderly client in the EHCE program may receive up to $6,000 in benefits. SCC has a total of $4,126,484 for this program.
SCC may issue a single contract to a Proposer for up to $6,000 for an individual elderly client or SCC may bundle similar services or services in a particular county where a successful Proposer’s contract would be for services to multiple elderly clients, each elderly client receiving benefits of up to $6,000. Thus it is possible contracts to successful Proposers could range from $30,000 to in excess of $100,000 depending on the circumstances.
NUMBER OF CONTRACTS
Senior Connection Center, Inc. (SCC) expects to award and enter into contracts with many approved Proposers to serve elderly clients in one or more of the designated counties. Contracts will be issued beginning February 2023 through June 29, 2023 to serve as many eligible elderly as possible. Services must be completed by September 30, 2023. A successful Proposer may be issued multiple contracts.
WHO CAN APPLY
Proposers serving Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Highlands and/or Hardee counties who have been in existence for at least two years may apply. Proposers can be nonprofit or for profit entities, governmental entities, partnerships, or joint ventures.
SCC strongly encourages woman-, veteran- and minority-owned businesses to submit a proposal.
NONMANDATORY PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE, SELECTION SCHEDULE
– RFP Bidders Conference 10:00 a.m. January 23, 2023.
– Proposers’ initial written questions and inquires due 5:00 p.m. January 23, 2023.
– Response to written questions & inquiries posted on website and emailed/mailed to Intent to Propose respondents and email list January 29, 2023.
– RFP proposals accepted January 13, 2023 through June 16, 2023.
– January 13, 2023 through June 29, 2023, proposers will be added to the approved vendor list based on evaluation scores.
– Contracts issued February 1, 2023, through June 29, 2023.
